Companies meeting the Screening Committee’s initial criteria will be asked to make a presentation to the Screening Committee prior to being selected to present to the San Joaquin Angels. Those companies selected by the Screening Committee to present to the full SJA membership at a bi-monthly member meeting must use the format described below. Companies invited to present to the Screening Committee should also follow the guidelines described below for their Screening Committee presentation.
Materials for Member Investment Meeting
Selected companies must give a PowerPoint or equivalent presentation of no more than 20 minutes in length, followed by a five-to-ten minute Q&A period. Copies of the presentation should be provided to members at the investment meeting (companies will be informed as to number of required copies) and an electronic copy provided to San Joaquin Angels for posting under the members-only section of its website. Companies may offer other materials at the member investment meeting. Space will be made available for a company display or demonstration immediately prior to, during, and after the investment meeting. In addition, companies selected to present to the investor meeting may be required to assist in the preparation of, and pay all or part of the cost of preparing a due diligence report to be used by the San Joaquin Angels to help assess the investment potential of the company.
Neither investment solicitation nor commitment will be made at the member investment meeting, and presenting companies are expected to bring with them information on the timing and location for a potential follow-on meeting if there are interested San Joaquin Angels.
